The Rider-Waite-Smith deck, 1909

Think of your question and draw. A card that comes out upside down is read reversed. Tap a card to see it large.

How the cards are drawn

The 78 cards are shuffled by quantum random numbers and drawn without putting any back; a quantum random bit for each card says whether it lies upside down. The Celtic Cross is laid as A. E. Waite describes it in “The Pictorial Key to the Tarot” (1910), without a chosen significator.

The pictures are scans of the first edition of the deck drawn by Pamela Colman Smith (1909-1910, the “Pam-A” printing), in the public domain. The page writes the titles on the cards itself, so they can be translated. The meanings are our own, after Waite’s divinatory meanings.
