Choose your question
Say the question to yourself as it is written, then draw the lines.
How the Book answers
The enquirer draws five lines of marks quickly, without counting them. A line with an odd number of marks gives one star, an even line gives two, and the five rows of stars make one of 32 signs.
In the table, the row of the question and the column of the sign meet at a hieroglyph. The hieroglyph presides over one folio of the book, and on that folio the sign marks the answer. Here the lines are drawn for you, and whether each is odd or even is decided by a quantum random bit.
